About Us
Calvary Baptist Church was founded in 1967 to have a church that remains a fundamental Bible-believing church in the community. It was a church created to preach and teach Jesus Christ as the Savior of men, and to instruct children, youth, and adults on the biblical mission and good witnesses for Christ Jesus as stewards of His love.

Statements of Faith
The True God
We believe there is one and only one living and true God, and inifinite Spirit, the Maker and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth; inexpressibly glorious in holiness, and worthy of all possible honor, confidence, and love; that in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in every divine perfection, and executing distinct but hamonious offices in the great work of redemtion.
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is coequal with God the Father and God the Son and of the same divine nature; that He was active in the creation; that in His relation to the unbelieving world He restrains the evil one until God's purpose is fulfilled; that He convicts of sin, of righteousness, and of judgement; that He bears witness to the Truth of the Gospel in preaching and testimony; and He is the agent in the New Birth; that He seals, baptizes, endues, guides, teaches, witnesses, sanctifies, and helps the believer.
The Devil
We believe in the distinct personality of Satan, that he was created perfect but because of pride and rebellion against God he became the originator of sin and later caused the fall of man. He is the prince of the world and has great power. He blinds the minds of unbelievers. In the final judgement, Satan and his angels are destined to an eternal justice in the lake of fire.
The Creation
We believe the account of creation in Genesis to be true and believe that man came by direct creation of God and not evolution.
The Son
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God became man without ceasing to be God having been supernaturally conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary in order that He might reveal God and redeem man. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substituionary savrifice and that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical, reserection from the dead. We believe the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God where as our High Priest, He fulfills the minsitry of intercessor and advocate.
The Scriptures
We believe that the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament were verbally inspired and are the product of Spirit controlled men, and therefore, is truth without and admixture of error for its matter. We believe the Bible to be the true center of Christian union and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions shal be tried.
The Fall
We believe that in Adam's sin the race fell, and inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God; and that all man is totally deprived, and of himself utterly unable to remedy his lost condition.
The Rapture
We believe that Jesus Christ will return to the atmosphere of this earth; that the dead in Christ will rise first, then believers who are still living will be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air and to ever be with the Lord; that the Rapture is the next event on the revealed calendar and that no prophecy need be fulfilled before it occurs.
